Breaking news published on 21/06/25, at 13:00 GMT Heads of state from the West African regional bloc have agreed to appoint Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye as the next chair of the organisation, whose authority is being sorely tested by the departure of three member states run by military juntas.
