Discussions between Port Sudan and its main allies have intensified since the fall of the North Darfur capital. While awaiting a potential ceasefire, the Sudanese regular army hopes to catch up technologically with the RSF paramilitary.

Burning issues on the agenda for talks between Cairo and Khartoum

At their recent meeting, the Sudanese and Egyptian foreign ministers expressed their shared interest in the US offer to mediate on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. They also agreed to accelerate Cairo's ongoing projects in Sudan.
