Tebboune with a mountain to climb on economic reform
An end to subsidies, the use of foreign loans, an increase in non-oil revenues: with his back to the wall, Algerian president Abdelmadjid Tebboune wants to carry out far-reaching economic reforms in the space of a few months. His prime minister Aymen Benabderrahmane and chief of staff Abdelaziz Khellaf will be responsible for overseeing them, and the army will make sure that there is no social unrest.
