Ouattara loses close ally over Thiam's removal from looming presidential race

In a letter to the Ivorian president that has been consulted by Africa Intelligence, Philippe Serey-Eiffel, one of the head of state's long-term advisers, has spoken out about the negative consequences of removing Tidjane Thiam from this year's election.
