Between Google and Meta, African Union seeks AI strategy

The AU has launched a debate on the huge challenges posed by artificial intelligence. Through its development agency, the pan-African organisation is forging partnerships with US tech giants and is working on a continental policy to cover issues such as infrastructure and data sovereignty.
