Gwede Mantashe's future presents quandary for Ramaphosa

Cyril Ramaphosa owes his re-election as leader of the African National Congress (ANC) in large part to Gwede Mantashe. As a reward, Mantashe wants to stay on as energy minister. This puts the South African president in a bind, as coal-loving Mantashe is opposed to his green energy transition plans.
