The ancient pyramids of Giza loom over a huge building of concrete and glass. Beyond, lies a vast expanse of stony desert. The structure is grey, just like the sky above, which is a constant smog of dust and pollution. Car parks and palm trees surround it. That building, designed by Heneghan Peng Architects, is soon set to house the Grand Egyptian Museum
