Boosted by Airtel, Kingdom of Buganda plans to influence 2026 elections

The Buganda kingdom in central Uganda has acquired considerable financial firepower, thanks in particular to its partnership with the country's second-largest telecom operator. This should boost its influence in the run-up to the next general elections in 2026.
