Kampala gets Katmerciler APCs as part of Erdogan's military-diplomatic drive

By providing 20 light armoured vehicles to the Ugandan army in January, Ankara anticipated the entry into force of the bilateral military agreement between Turkey and Uganda, which was ratified on February 5 by the Turkish Parliament. This agreement will significantly strengthen military and technical cooperation between the two countries, and boost Turkey's influence in the region.
