The diplomats in the French embassy in Bangui have had to learn to put up with the deafening display. Since the Russian instructors based in the city were supplied with Gazelle helicopters, they have taken to flying them at low level over the Ubangi River, always deviating from their route to fly over the walls of the nearby French embassy.
