Och-Ziff investment group could face still more flak over the deal it did with Dan Gertler

Och-Ziff Capital Management Group, which recently changed its name to Sculptor Capital Management, has settled its dispute with former Africo shareholders over its takeover of the Kalukundi copper project in association with Dan Gertler. It still faces the threat of further legal action, however, from civil society interests.

Kazakhstan's Eurasian Resources Group, which runs the Metalkol metal reprocessing venture, has been working hard to build itself a reputation for responsible management in the DRC. Israeli businessman Dan Gertler has jeopardised its efforts, however, with a headline-grabbing proposition to use some of the proceeds from the venture to set up an investment scheme for the benefit of the DRC public.
