The Cameroon People's Democratic Movement has unveiled the team expected to secure Paul Biya's re-election. The list gives pride of place to wealthy families from the west of the country, a region where the electorate is generally favourable to the opposition.

Ruto's modest commitment to play mediator on GERD dam issue

A few months after his official visit to Cairo, the Kenyan president showed unwavering support for the Ethiopian dam during its inauguration on 9 September. He also pledged to resume negotiations with Egypt, which are currently at a standstill.
