Mozambique's ruling party bigwigs are securing their political and business legacies by pushing their children to get more involved in Frelimo. Several of them joined the party's central committee in September.

The African Union's special envoy for the Horn of Africa, Olusegun Obasanjo, has been making the most of the success of the Ethiopian mediation since Novembers's peace agreements. However, it is far from being his own achievement.
