West African leaders meet to address financial turmoil

West African Economic and Monetary Union heads of state are due to meet on 14 December to discuss the financial woes of the French-speaking economic organisation, which is burdened by a dearth of foreign currency, difficulties in borrowing on the markets and major unpaid debts.
