Trump administration tries to force through candidate to head MONUSCO

Washington has put forward two American candidates to head the United Nations mission in the DRC. Among those being considered is former UN official David Gressly. Significantly weakened in the region, the global organisation urgently needs to restructure its presence in Central Africa.
