Dakar and Paris seek new momentum in diplomatic relations

Emmanuel Macron and Bassirou Diomaye Faye are striving to move beyond the turbulent period that culminated in the withdrawal of French military forces from the country in July 2025. The contours of this new relationship are to be defined at the next bilateral seminar, likely to take place in the second quarter of this year.
